Since Joseph Smith, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints has had living prophets to guide the members. These prophets are the same as prophets of old such as Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob or Moses. They have the same authority and inspiration. Our prophet today is President Thomas S. Monson. I know this man is a true prophet of God. I know he is the Lord's mouthpiece today. I am so grateful for his inspired counsel and strive to follow it.
